Kitten

Tender touches.

Empty clutches

Groaning steps with angled crutches

Lonely stoner

Couldn't phone her

Stolen things cry for their owner.

Last temptation

Change the station

Drunken fools fail at persuasion

Cage to sit in

It is written

Those twice shy

Have once been bitten.

Phantoms limbs

Phantom limbs
They ache with every passing day.
In echoes of laughter.
In war cries.
Vanguards of the fostered night.

Through catacombs of well wishes.
The cold, biting wind rips through the atmosphere.
Through the skin.
To the bone. Where it was cut away.

The feeling; the memory.
A symptom of brazen dissent.

Chasing Ghosts

Can't we return to splendor?

The truth we oft deny

Love turns to hate in cloudy weather.

Sunk and swollen whence we die.

Along the parched red avenue.

Beneath the waning sky.

Along the shores of solitude,

Does all ambition die.

Return again to splendor.

Return again to hope.

Below the monoliths of beauty;

Lay the means with which we cope

Moonlight pt 2

The sun has gone down but the moon didn't rise. Her pale fire absent from my wanting eyes. Her brilliance was missing

No roads to be seen. No future, no present, no chance for goodbyes.

I once saw her phases while lost in a forest. I howled at her faces when I felt the lowest.. For it was her beauty I could not deny and her greatness unchallenged by the stars in the sky.

This night I can't see her

Perhaps never again.

But forget her I will not

This isn't the end.

Moonlight pt 1

Let me save you from the lightning

Let me pull you from this home.

Let me see you in the seconds of the memories that I've known.

I can feel you in the blowing wind

I can feel you in despair

Let me feel your sadness with you

Prove to you that I'll be there.

In the depths of sadness

Heights of joy.

And valleys of unknown.

Let me in your heart and mind

Let our love be your new home.

Divider

Let's scrape their bodies off the asphalt.  Tangled, mangled lovers on the road.
Lose our sight because their brightness is a marvel to behold.

Redeyes

In a puff of smoke.
Vanished is the torch.
Into the darkness
Into the dawn.
Retreated twilight.
Red eyes, black holes.
Shudders and sapphires
Into the abyss.
What is left.
What is felt.
Torn asunder..

Cold Comfort

Should we laugh or should we cry when the freedom fighters die?
Should their visage be remembered in this rotten dead eyed world? Or should our safety be the burden in our dreamer's lucid eye?
Can we pay with lives our arrogance? Is this all just a lie?
When we send our soldiers packing
once their resources go dry.

This stale joke has gotten old.
And our victims are becoming bold.
Their heart's have grown a decade cold. Since the day we put our peace on hold.
I cry, "we should know better!" when the dice fell where they lay.
Yet it's thinking "We know best"
That has made it all this way.

Runaway

Runaways
Wide eyed and renegade.
Upon muddied valleys
Seaside struggles at dusk
The green pastures of the sublime.

Return to blood red sunsets.
The muted horizons of the cosmos.
Writings in the sand.
Eroded shrines to joyful history.

Trails by starlight.
Roads in mist.

Run fast
Moonlight masters
Move silent.

Liquid courage

Rivers run deep.
Above the head that dreams of stars
The drowned affliction of our hopes
Regretted soundly in our sleep.

Retreaded roads to a dead end.
Retreated divers with the bends.
Retired notes you'll never send.

Still
The water is too alive
Beneath
Below.
Deep inside.
Bottled.

Nocture revised

Glass stained with the morning dew.
That nectar of night.
The midnight that blossums into morning as the cold heart of darkness pumps emphatically with warmth at dawn.

Thoughts cascade like snow
and the dreaming sadness of night permiates in a soulful awakening.
Broken yet unscathed,
Open yet unused.
Afraid and at war.

To so fear love.
A goudy blade of adolescence.
The wounds: still festering like
apprehension, like insecurity.

You can't hurt a storm..
Nor blanket it from chaos.
But as the world does turn; so too does the sun shine brightly.
 Winds die. Fear subsides
And courage is to love what it leaves behind.

Cocoon

Show that you are growing
And far from a hallow shell.
Tell that you are knowing
and express that you mean well.
This life is not a game. You see.
It's ought not work that way.

It's simply about compassion and meaning what you say.

Red house

Couldn't swim without the floaters
Read or write without the boarders
Walk or move without the orders.
Canes and ambulances passed
Walking, talking: couldn't last.
Been too free to meditate.
Been too poor to medicate
Actions that would come too late.
Left too soon.
Could not wait.

Final Ouroboros

Forget!
So-called "Ouroboros"
This whisper in the wind.
Forget! It's name and faculties.
Forget! That it has been.

It's might: A gust of nothingness.
It's mind: A hollow shell.
It's lair: A tomb of emptiness
In which only absence dwells.

Neglect this false "Ouroboros"
So vague and absentee.
Whose presence is imagined
and whose vastness we can't see.

Yes, forget!
This worm,
This mystery.
Forget it's wretched tale.
For as the dusk becomes the dawn.
 So too can truth prevail.

Stormy

A torrent of maybes
in an ocean of what-ifs.
A tempest, a flurry,
a whirlwind of hopes,
of dreams, of aspirations.
Undermined by doubt.

Circle

You draw a circle
It shrinks
It splits
It multiplies
You draw another circle
It splits
It shrinks
It multiplies
You draw a line

Absence

It is in the void
where all dread resides.

Photographs

..and there we are.
There will we be.
Reduced to photographs.

Goodbye

It is by the weight of goodbyes that we measure the sorrows of wanting.

Solar

You live for one,
Amoungst moon and stars.
And no morning here can greet you.

The sun does turn
And in ardor burn
But my warmness doth not reach you.

I wanted good morrow.
And instead got sorrow.
For my light may never meet you.
